How to Care for Satin Garments

Hello Loves 😀

Satin is a smooth texture fabric and is the epitome of luxury! Satin can be made with different fibers and can range from natural silk to modern synthetics. We understand that satin is very delicate and we want to educate you all on how to wash your satin garments safely. Here's your guide to washing satin properly:
The first step is to read the care label on your garment. Following the instructions is the best thing you can do. Many suggest hand washing because it is more gentle on the fabric. However, you don’t have to shy away from machine washing if you do it right.
Use cold water only. If using a machine, use a gentle detergent, select cool or cold water and gentle or low spin cycle. If you decide to hand-wash, fill your sink with cool water and add a small amount of laundry detergent. Add garment and/or garments then agitate for a few minutes. Allow items to soak for about 30 minutes then drain. Run the garments under cool water until all excess soap is removed. Gently squeeze the garment to ring some of the water out before drying.
Satin should be air-dried or tumbled on low heat in the dryer. If put in the dryer, remove garments from the dryer while they are slightly damp, then allow them to air dry until completely dry. Avoid any direct sunlight or heat to prevent the fibers from weakening which can cause permanent damage.
Satin is such a beautiful fabric that shouldn’t be neglected. Follow this guide and you will be rocking your satin garments for a long time!
